Digital Art

I'm currently doing Traci Bautista's digital canvas e-course and learning how to use Procreate, Artrage and Noteshelf apps. Apps that confuse me somewhat, not having a photoshop background I find them  a little baffling to say the least. Anyway one of the tips Traci imparted is to utilize your own artwork in your photos, so today I got out my mixed media art journals and photographed a stack of pages.
Using Blender, Snapseed and a texture from Dan Marcolino this is what I came up with.

The above photo was taken in the city last week. I think I used snapseed and photocopier, sometimes I can't remember which apps I used.

Several Different Styles

Painterly

Composite

Surreal

I love all different styles of iphoneography, black and white, abstract, vintage, graphic, painterly. So hard to develop a style when you love it all.

Repix

The app Repix had an update today, so I've been playing with it and going a bit overboard.
On this photo I think I used just about every brush.

It's almost spring here and my garden is full of Freesias, they smell so good.

And here's my daughter, she was on a photo shoot for her restyle blog. I can't take credit for the photo, just the apping.

Bandstand

This is a photo I took a few months ago whilst on holiday in my home town. I've been trying out some new apps I downloaded, one of them being an app called Layover. Layover enables you to blend up to five images with quite a few blend modes, so it's a lot fun, the hard part is choosing which pics to use. Here I've used a background I made using Distressed FX and blended it over the bandstand.

Soaring

Just a bird, some clouds and the top of tree.

Painterly

Took some pics of grevillea flowers today with hipstamatic and then edited in Laminar
Pro. I like this painterly look.

Purple Haze

From this ........

To this........

Two apps, Slow Shutter Cam and Snapseed.
So don't discard those not quite so good shots, turn them into abstracts. It's a lot of fun and the results can be quite amazing.

Hipstamatic

I finally took the plunge and downloaded hipstamatic. Here's a few pics I took today, it does have a fairly steep learning curve.....well for me it does.

For a Rainy Day

Snapped this in the supermarket this morning, it was hanging from the ceiling above the sushi bar.

Graphic

I'm really drawn to anything graphic so when I came across a new app call addLib I had to download it and see what I could do with it.
The original photo I had in my camera roll and then the apped versions.

Absracts

I've joined  an iphonogaphy forum called Mobitog. is a great place to share images, find tutorials, discuss apps and generally hang out with iphoneographers from all over he world.

So yesterday I suggested starting up a thread for Abstracts and they kindly obliged and these are two images I've posted to the thread.

I'm a big fan of abstract, be it paintings or photos.
